The Tree Book is a class project. It helps dive down to your roots. The story of the book you made in your tree. Each of us created the books and customized them to be our own. It has are Life List, Wishes, and Name.

In creating these books we had help from a local artist Peg Gignoux http://gignouxart.com. She helped us build our books and showed us how to use the art supplies. She taught us all the folding and akua ink we did and all the collaging as well

We collaged using screen printing, paper folding, akua ink, and more. It took us two months to craft these books. We put our hearts into literary texts we made like When This is Over.

Screen printing using akua ink is where you take this jelly looking plate and use the special akua ink and spread it across the jelly. The. put some object like a leaf or grass needle but nothing to 3D or else it won’t print. Then you put a piece of paper over it. After that you roll it and you get a really cool paper we then used to collage.

Our inspiration is from Wishtree by Katherine Applegate. We created these books with our time and artistic power. We crafted and collages our books over the time period of two months and worked really hard to make each one unique.
